Soldier Saturn

Last one! Saturn... She took a while cause of her staff. Also I had to do a lot of adjustment on her body... It came out akward. Her eyes were SUPER fun to do!!!

A re-vamp of my Soldier Moon project! I got really interested in disney styles, and I did a little project that I thought would take me a few weeks. Took all summer, but I learned a lot from it! anyhoo, here's the original ([link]), which I would look at now while you can, because I'm going to be taking it down. My art has changed sooooo much since then! but looking back it did teach me a lot about perspective and proportions... anyways, this re-vamp is NOT perfect, but I'm still getting the hang of PS so as I did more it got better. At this point I'd kinda gotten the whole revamp process down to at least... a process.

Horatia is the most powerful Soldier, besides Moon. However, using too much of her power too quickly drains her extremely quickly. She, besides Eris, is the only Soldier who was not "made" or gained her powers naturally. As the rest of the team bonds, Pluto going back and forth between this present and others sees lives in which she was a happy mother with a family. Though she loves her team, she regrets that she was not able to physically have children in this time, and desperately wanted one. Eris's coming only increases that want. Pluto decided to do something desperate but stupid. The other soldiers that had precognosis had been uneasy, sensing the coming of a dark and powerful being, something they referred to as "the Destructor". Pluto also knew this, but did not connect it to her actions. She found Horatia, her daughter in an alternate future, who is about 13. Using her scythe, she ripped her from that universe and tried to transport her here. Horatia merged with the scythe, which Pluto had a psychic connection with, as she came into this time. Though initially it was thought that the transport was a success, there were problems. For instance, Pluto had ripped her daughter from a future that was 8 possible years in the past, and so Horatia's body had to increase her age. She is now 21, with a 13 year old mentality. Her heart could not fully compensate for the travel, and weakened hugely, and though she can heal herself, it is the one part of her that will "never heal". Horatia also merged with the scythe, as it can act as a time traveling implement, and Pluto claims that the scythe "... Is her soul..... And the only thing holding her here in this time and world." Horatia has a lot of physic powers, but for some reason the scythe lets her amplify those beyond her natural range. If the scythe gets hurt, so does she, and if the damage is too great she instantly become catatonic. If it ever breaks, the hypothesis is that she would die. She can also travel in time like her mother, but if she stays in one too long the scythe brings her back to this one. Her code name is "the Scythe". Powers include:

Any psychic ability (telepath, precog, empath, etc.)
some limited Time Travel and Stopping
With Scythe:
Reality Warp (this drains her extremely fast)
Energy Barriers/Forcefields
Kinetic absorbtion/redistribution
Healing, and can become Invulnerable


The story goes that Pluto brought her here, which the other Soldiers were aghast at, because they viewed it as a kidnapping, and as wrong to change the present. Saturn was horrified - she liked her present, and as a result hated this world and everything about it, including her weak heart and changed body. She could not go back, however, because her body wouldn't be able to make the travel again. As her memories of her past life began to fade, she ran away from Pluto, and collapsed on the streets, where, of course, the corrupt government found her. They gave her a pacemaker/cyborg heart thing (think Iron Man style) and brainwashed her into becoming "Agent 9", and tried to get her to kill Moon. She, hating those who had taken her from her life set upon the team, wiping them out, but could not bring herself to kill Moon, because it was her mother who she hated. She went back to the other government, and still works for them...
